Hijama Aftercare

In the 24 hours after your cupping therapy, use this period for rest and recovery.

Listen to what your body needs to recuperate and heal itself, naturally.

This is a time to rebalance and recuperate.

If your skin, or the area surrounding, feels itchy or tingly, gently apply olive oil to relieve it.

This will also aid in the skin healing process.

Do not rub or scratch the areas cupped.

If you need to shower, use only very lukewarm water, be gentle and thoroughly pat dry the cupped area until dry and use olive oil.

We recommend you avoid strenuous physical activity (such as air flying, running, weight training, or gym workouts) for a day.

Marital relations should be avoided for a day to allow the body to restore and recover.

Nourishment

Drink plenty of water (at least two glasses immediately after your cupping session) to allow your body to restore balance in its fluid levels.

You may eat a light snack directly after your cupping therapy and we recommend you wait at least two hours before eating a main meal. This gives your body a chance to settle down and continue its healing.
